The model code violation by Y S Rajasekhara Reddy got murkier on Thursday with police denying that permission was given for his public meeting at the open ground adjacent to a government school in Balkonda on Wednesday. Speaking to TOI, Armoor DSP M Hatiram made it clear that no permission was given either to gather masses in the open place or organise a meeting. “The local Congress leaders diverted the CM’s convoy into the village from NH-7 to take a left turn. But there was no permission to hold the meeting as Section 144 was clamped on the school premises since SSC exams were being held,” he said.
