Coming is the hot summer and hottest election session. Hence, PRP decided to take shelter under ‘Umbrella,’ a party symbol of Sikkim Gana Parishath. PRP high command today withdrew its petitions filed in High court and in Supreme Court regarding allocating a common symbol for it.
PRP has been negotiating with many political parties, including NTR TDP’ seeking their party symbol, while continuing the fight in the courts for a common symbol. However, tired with a sunny walk, the think tank of the PRP has decided to end its legal battle over the issue, and go to elections with ‘Umbrella.’ PRP scrutinised many symbols of many political parties and the liabilities attached to them. They finally decided ‘Umbrella’ would be a best option.
