The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has suspended five leaders from the party for working against the official candidates in the April elections.
Those who were suspended on Thursday were District Cooperative Central Bank director Manala Mohan Reddy, Morthad mandal parishad president Bombai Narsaiah, Bheemgal MPP Kanne Surender, CDC chairman Naidu Prakash and district Wakf Board chairman Syeeduddin Mukthar.
Party sources said the PCC took the disciplinary action after conducting an enquiry. Party disciplinary committee chairman Satyanarayana Raju issued notices to the suspended leaders. District Congress Committee president Gadugu Gangadhar said no leader would be spared if he/she work against the party interests.
