JC Diwakar Reddy to be sworn in Pro tem Speaker

Senior Congress legislator J.C. Diwakar Reddy will be sworn in Pro tem Speaker by Governor N.D. Tiwari at Raj Bhavan at 9 a. m. on Wednesday.
Although Mr. Reddy is not the most senior member of the 13th Assembly, the ruling party zeroed in on him because rules provide for appointing a senior legislator and not necessarily the `senior most’.
